• Hulu has a very interesting fall lineup in store for U.S. viewers. Not only will they have season premiers of many shows available, they will also have the season premiers of Chuck and Knight Rider available for viewing one week before the broadcast premier. Very interesting. So if you you just can’t wait, and if you can’t remember things well like me, then stay tuned here and we’ll bring them to you when they are available!
  • Is the end of The CW near? It seems that the partnership between Warner Bros. and CBS Corp. is falling apart, with several affiliate stations changing their call letters to remove references to ‘CW’. For instance, Ch. 39 in Houston was KHCW, now it’s KAIW. Not that I really care as I never watch that channel. And, so it seems, neither does anyone else.
  • Sci Fi Scanner has a short interview with Damon Lindeloff of LOST, with some interesting info as to how the writers are able to satisfy viewer demands while still staying on plot.
  • There have been some nasty rumors flying around that Sci Fi had decided to delay the second half of season 4 of Galactica until later in 2009. But Sci Fi says, “Not so fast!” The show will start in January 2009 as previously stated. Of course, the link says BG is ‘slated’ for January 2009, which, to me, sounds like there is some wiggle room there. I’d be angry at them if they moved it back, but I’d still watch. I just wouldn’t like it.
  • Courant.com takes a look at the history of the word ‘frak‘.
  • Sci Fi Wire has an exclusive interview with Anna Torv, female lead on Fringe. Which debuts next week so set your DVRs.
  • Apparently there are rumors running around that Red Dwarf will be heading to the big screen in the near future. The Guardian wonders if Red Dwarf deserves a comeback. Having never seen it, I can’t say.
  • Who says anime has to come from Japan? First Squad is Russian-Canadian (!) collaboration from Molot Entertainment. It will deal with WWII and how a bunch of Soviet teens with super powers save the world. Awesome! Here’s the ‘news reel’-ish trailer:
