Photographs from Thomas M. Disch's Wake

From Matt Staggs:

Friends and family of deceased author and poet Thomas M. Disch gathered in remembrance Saturday at the New York City apartment of writer Alice Turner.

Disch, who committed suicide on July 4, was the author of numerous novels, short story collections, essays, poems, reviews and more. Just a few of his titles include Camp Concentration, On Wings of Song, The Dreams Our Stuff Is Made Of, 334, and most recently, The Word of God and The Wall of America.

Among those attending were Jacob Weisman, Sheila Williams, Samuel Delany, Gregory Feeley, Christopher Ecker, Henry Wessells, Ben Downing, Ellen Datlow, Scott Edelman, John Crowley and many members of Disch's family.
