Computer and Video Games magazine has several new screenshots for the upcoming Stargate: Worlds MMO. All of the screenshots I've seen have looked really good and the on the right is no exception. Hopefully the game is good too.

  • And I guess we'll start to find out if Stargate: Worlds will be a good game on October 15th, as that is the start of the closed beta. If you just can't wait for the open beta, you can go to Ten Ton Hammer, sign up, and possibly win a key. Sounds like a lot of work for a possible key...

  • The Americanized version of Life on Mars premiers this Thursday, Oct. 9th. Here is a 'starter kit' video to set the tone for the series:

I also believe that BBC America was showing the original on thier channel, and if only there were a web resource that allowed me to see when....

Cripes, this is lame. They copied the British version line for line, scene for scene, move for move. The only thing they changed was the soundtrack.

IMHO the audience for a show like Life on Mars is not so provincial as the networks think. The audience can appreciate David Bowie just as well as Jim Croce. And you know what? David Bowie was on the radio in 1973 too.
