How’s this for discussion? RTFB!
looks to “future-esk” looking like something out of The Jetsons.
Gee…for a movie that is supposed to take place before the bulk of ST:TOS, it looks awfully “futuristic” to me.
But who cares? It looks like we’ve directly imaged planets in another solar system. How frakking cool is that? Pretty dang good for some ancient technology on its last legs (NOT)!
As far as I’m concerned, it could be a pancake and three sausage links – it’s still the Enterprise. While the idea of Dawson’s Spaceship or Kids In Space is a bit off-putting, I’m still looking forward to seeing the new movie, seeing what they’ve done with it. I guess no one will accuse me of being a Traditionalist!
I’m looking forward to it. Maybe I’m just a old Trekkie (not Trekker) geek, but I always get happy when a new Enterprise design appears. Anyway, I’m pretty sure this movie’s meant to be more of a “reimagining” rather than a prequel. So it’s all right that it looks strangely futuristic.
I’m excited anyway.
