Here’s a loose adaptation of H.G. Wells’ “Empire of the Ants” from 1979. Two years after Star Wars, mind you…not that you could tell from the “special effects”. It’s got giant, mind-controlling ants and Joan Collins. What could possibly go wrong?

Synopsis: An aggressive land developer takes a boatload of prospective buyers to a reclaimed swamp in the southeast. While there, the group is attacked by a swarm of huge ants, the result of genetic mutation after exposure to atomic wastes.
