Black Static #7, Warhammer The Inquisition War, and Three Unbroken are, to my mind, really stunning covers. Covers I couldn't help but grab and look at, on a bookstore shelf. Particularly Black Static.

Also cool: The Inquisition War is a big, fat omnibus, which also makes it stand out.

I feel like the cover of Interzone #219 features Dr. Manhattan of "Watchmen" crossed with the cover of John Clute's "Appleseed." I'm pretty sure that's a book I would never, ever want to try to read.
Of course, I'm still waiting for Interzone #218 to come out in my eBook format; they're running waaaay behind at Fictionwise.

I am SUCH a sucker for a pretty omnibus. I have a bunch of them. I swear, a fat book with a nice cover, and I buy it without even being aware of it. It's probably a sickness. ![]()
(I missed 'em first time through, but Glen Cook and Neal Asher's books both have pretty damn sharp covers too. And honestly, most of them are gorgeous -- except for the Asimov book, which is a great book but has a cover that looks self-published -- but some of 'em really stand out)
