Sad news…

James Cawthorn, British sf/fantasy illustrator, comics artist and historian, passed away on Tuesday, December 2, 2008.

Cawthorn created early interpretations of many Michael Moorcock characters, including Elric of Melniboné. Moorcock himself considers Cawthorn’s redention to be the definitive Elric for him. He has also illustrated A.E.
