Tube Bits for 12/13/2008
  • The Battlestar Galactica webisodes leading up to the resumption of Season 4 started yesterday, see the first webisode here. WARNING: Spoilers for Season 4 so far. You have been warned! Sy Fy Portal has an interview with Jane Espenson, the writer, about the webisodes and a rather surprising revelation about one of the characters.
  • You know all the problems that Dollhouse has been encountering lately? Turns out Joss Whedon says, "It's all my fault!" Well, I would say it's really FOX's fault, for being so difficult to work with.
  • How difficult? The rumor is they've delayed Virtuality, Ron Moore's next series after Galactica. SF Universe wonders if it's because the suits at FOX don't 'get' the series, citing the dichotomy between spaceships and virtual reality versus 'mainstream'. I'd say that's a pretty good bet.
  • Did you know? - The new Trek film will also be released in IMAX. I guess the success of The Dark Knight is making IMAX more attractive. Sadly, Trek was not shot using IMAX cameras and will therefore need to be re-mastered into IMAX. This does not interest me that much. If it were shot completely in IMAX (damn the cost!), then I'd be there. Re-mastered? Not so much.
