RIP: Patrick McGoohan

Sad news...

Yahoo and others are reporting that Actor/Director/Producer Patrick McGoohan has passed away at age 80.

Just one month ago I wrote a short biography for Patrick McGoohan for AMC TV, who is streaming McGoohan's classic show, The Prisoner and also producing a remake. I had never realized that he accomplished so much.

awwww.  awwwww.  And I just scared up some fellow Prisoner fans.  I am going to read your biography, John.  Even though I bought (at great price, for me) the DVD's of the Prisoner (that I hardly ever get to watch since no one in my home TV universes has any interest in the show except for me), I don't know much about Patrick McGoohan.  The show was so creative and interesting, and he has to have been a very interesting men.

A fine actor and creative force in sci fi, fantasy, thrillers and other genres. He will not be pushed, filed, indexed, stamped, briefed, debriefed or numbered.

POP!
