I just read Melko's "The Walls of the Universe" and highly recommend it.  It was a neat, fun take on the idea of parallel worlds.  I thought it was a big improvement over his first novel (Singularity's Ring-which I also enjoyed).

Looking for reviews of the new Coyote book by Steele...I've read the others, so I'm thinking of picking it up, but my "to be read" pile is pretty big right now.

I'm nearly halfway through The Walls of the Universe and you're right, it's excellent so far.

I read some of the Coyote short stories and recall being equally impressed.
