I had been looking to embed The Fifth Element for quite some time, but Hulu does not allow it. Fortunately, Divers and Sundry found an alternate source: Joost!
I really like this film for its over-the-top…everything. Plus it’s got Milla Jovovich and her Mooltipass.

Thanks for the link. I watched it again.
Broad campy fun with striking production design and polished SFX. The plotline is a standard serial actioneer pumped with Bruce Willis shoot-em-up. Too bad the script doesn’t live up to the look, and that’s why it was a letdown seeing this when it came out. If you keep your expectations to comic book level, you can have a good time.
If life has taught me anything, it’s that low expectations lead to pleasant surprises.
The wife and I just watched this on Netflix last weekend. It had been many years since the last time I viewed it. I was surprised by how well it held up. True, it is a low-expectations pleasure, but thankfully it remained that even after all this time. It was fun, as a Bruce Willis film should be.
