- Awhile back we mentioned that The Witches of Eastwick was coming to the small screen. Two of the eponymous witches have already been cast (Lindsay Price, Jaime Ray Newman) and now the last witch has gone to Rebecca Romijn. Romijn will play Roxie, the 'bohemian' witch. Sadly, Rebecca Romijn probably won't get naked and coat herself in blue paint. That would certainly increase interest in the show...
- The Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy & Horror has just announced the 35th Annual Saturn Award nominees. For TV, LOST leads the way with 11 nominations, while Heroes received 6 and Galactica got 4. Out of all the nominees for Best TV Series, LOST should win, hands down. That's just me though. A complete list can be found at the Saturn Awards website (waaay down on the bottom right).
- For the literally 10's of our readers who actually own a Sony PS3 (hi Trent!), Sony has announced an agreement with NBC Universal to place NBC content on the PlayStation Network. Good job at catching up with Microsoft and Xbox 360, a year late Sony. Plus, yet another outlet to foist the steaming pile that is now Heroes onto unsuspecting gamers.
- Remember, this Sunday, NBC will premier its new SF-tinged series Kings at 8/7C. To celebrate, NBC has created the UNN Exclusive website, where you get to act as a virtual 'producer' working with a news reporter to put together a news piece about the hero of Kings, David Sheperd. Kinda cool. I'm rather intrigued about this show but I can't exactly say why. Maybe it's the alternate Earth-like setting, or the retelling of the David and Goliath story with SF overtones. In any case, I'll be checking out the premier. To get you in the mood, here is a preview:
