  • The remake of everyone’s favorite 80′s alien invasion show, V just announced some casting news: Firefly fanboy favorite Morena Baccarin has been cast as one of the leads. Which gives us a reason to run the picture to the right. Not that we really need a reason…
  • Speaking of casting, it appears that a certain TV show set to premier next year is busy auditioning for parts. Let’s see, The Sopranos meets Deadwood in a darker, grittier setting and, apparently, George Lucas not so involved with the scripts and suddenly, the Star Wars live-action TV show doesn’t sound half-bad. Set between Episodes III and IV certainly gives it that darker setting. It would be nice to see a more ‘adult’ oriented Star Wars, and I don’t mean Malin Ackerman nude in Watchmen adult oriented.
  • With the new Star Trek movie only a few short months away, what’s a self-respecting Trekkie going to wear to the premier? Aside from their replica uniform and Spock ears. Well if you’re going to look Trek you may as well smell like Trek. That’s right, Genki Wear is releasing a line of Star Trek themed fragrances for men and women. The line includes: Tiberius, Red Shirt (!) and Pon Farr. I’m not sure I’d want to wear anything called ‘Red Shirt’ and the idea of smelling like ‘Pon Farr’ seems, shall we say, less than appealing. This is supposedly the first time Trek has received a ‘first class’ fragrance treatment. I’ll bet. Available at ‘fine’ department stores in April!
  • “This is not going to be the ending you’re anticipating.” With that, Ron Moore teases the ending of Battlestar Galactica in TV Guide’s newest issue. I don’t know Ron, I can anticipate quite a bit. There’s also a bunch more stuff from the cast, which gives me a chance to say “Boomer!” for Tim.
  • Angel of Death is a web series over on Crackle.com that stars Zoe Bell and co-stars Lucy Lawless. Aside from being Lawless free for the first episode, the series looks well put together with Bell playing a stone-cold assassin for hire. I’ve embedded the first ep. below. And speaking of embedding, just, ouch!
