MEME: Paul McAuley's List of Essential SF Titles

Author Paul McAuley lists his Essential SF Titles. James Nicoll and Andrew Wheeler picked it up as a meme. Just what I need, another reminder of how under-read I am.

You know the drill...embolden the ones you've read...

For fun, I've added links to the my reviews where appropriate.

Paul is an avid reader, obviously.

Let the meme live: I've picked it up and added my five cents, in German, that is. But my subjective addtion to Paul's list is kept in English.

Not as under-read as I am.  I've only read 4 from the list: House on the Borderland, We, I, Robot, and Tiger, Tiger.

Can't believe you guys have not read Jack Vance's DYING EARTH.

Ah! You are missing such good sf-ishness!

To clarify, this is me (John D.) doing the meme, not my co-bloggers.

And yeah, a shame isn't it?  You'd think there be some minimum reading requirement for having a sf blog, but they'll let any yahoo do it.  :)

Maybe because of Owell's listed novel?
