• CBS’ long running (and milked) crime show(s), CSI has been slowly evolving into more SF territory. Where else but in an alternate reality would David Caruso have another ‘acting’ job? In an upcoming episode of the original CSI, the investigators will attend a science fiction convention for their favorite canceled TV show and solve a murder along the way. Anyone think the attendees will be treated with anything other than contempt and derision?
  • Fox’s Fringe re-emerged in all its pasty whiteness last Tuesday. While it’s nice to see it back on, I have to say “$@%#%$ you Fox for letting Idol run 8 minutes long and ruining my recording.” To make up for it, Leonard Nimoy will join the show for the finale and for multiple episodes in season 2.
  • Sci Fi has posted some concept art for two new upcoming series. They’ve posted The Phantom‘s new threads (eh) and some art for Riverworld (which looks cooler, though the riverboat seems chincy).
  • What do you get when you mix ‘pop-up TV’ and The Clone Wars? Why The Clone Wars Decoded, that’s what! Could be interesting.
  • One of John’s favorite cartoons, Spongebob Squarepant, turns 10(!) this year. To celebrate, Burger King has special kids meals for only 99 cents. But what’s even better, is the commercial:
