Amazon recently allowed blogs to be made available for Kindle readers, so we went ahead and signed up. Feel free to peruse our SF Signal for Kindle page and leave comments.
Amazon allows Kindle readers a free 14-day preview before it charges Kindle readers Amazon's prescribed rate of $2 per month. We're not expecting any of our current readers to subscribe, and to be honest, we're not sure how receptive new readers would be to subscribing to any blog that they can read for free on their computer. But! This is another way for us to reach out and get ourselves in front of potential new readers, so there you go.

How much of that gets back to you, as a content producer?

It's in their FAQ. But as I said, I see this mainly as a way to get new readers, not as a significant revenue stream.

Its not a bad pricing model but the cost of the Kindle DX over all is priced to high and it's kind of big.

As huge a eBook reader person as I am (early adopter of the original Kindle and the Kindle 2 when it came out - the DX is interesting but not what I'm looking for in a second Kindle) - I have tried following Blogs that way (books, newspapers and magazines - I bought and subscribed to.)
I'd suspect it would be good for the bloggers who post more lengthy analytical discussions, which can be more difficult to read on-line for long periods of time.
