The Biology of B-Movie Monsters is fascinating and reminds me of something that Gene Wolfe talked about in an interview (which I can't find right now, I'm afraid), in which he pointed out that actually, a creature like King Kong -- or the 50-Foot Woman -- would just sink into the ground because of the sheer size and weight being set up on relatively small points.

It's a fascinating point. Well, to me. :)
