Personally, I'd vote Anathem, though it's a bit dry.
Realistically? More likely to go to Little Brother - it's an easier read.

John,
Do you know anyone who has read "Song of Time" by MacLeod? I can't find it anywhere. The only copy Amazon has is $128. The Book Depository in the UK has none, nor does Amazon-UK. Even Powell's doesn't have it.
Somehow, I think that a book with very limited availability should not be considered for any award. I like MacLeod, but this is ridiculous.
"Anathem" is probably one of the finest books of the last couple of decades, but I really think "Little Brother" may be more important. "City at the End of Time" was not one of Bear's best, and I haven't read any of the others. Which is unusual, because as a retiree, I read a lot. I did ven before I retied, but now, it's ridiculous.

The publisher of Song of Time, PS publishing, sells it on their website at $30 for the harcover and $75 for the slipcased hardcover.
