We've got plenty of trailers for you, so let's get started!
This movie just looks incredible. Here's a clip from the movie featuring the Stitchpunk Beings being attacked by "The Winged Beast."
This Thanksgiving, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is...an alien! Looks a bit too kiddy for me, although the alien 'dog' looking like an 'Alien' is sweet.
I'm not sure I like turning Sherlock Holmes into a Victorian Era James Bond. I'd be more accepting if it were some new character in that role, but then again, new and Hollywood don't go together. Not when Holmes has a huge name value. Of course, adding a supposed 'vampire' to the mix can't hurt, right?
First, really long name guys, a little shorter next time. Second, I've never read the books, but our own Tim says they are good and his son devours them (not literally, Tim does occasionally feed his son). Third, if riding up to the top of the Empire State Building means actually ending up on Mt. Olympus, I'd be more willing to go to New York. Here's the teaser:
From Peter Jackson and director Neill Blomkamp, this is the full length trailer for District 9, Blomkamp's feature length adaptation of his own short film, Alive in Joburg. This certainly looks interesting, with an Alien Nation vibe to it, only with more mechs and less Mandy Patinkin.
Well, I can't really say more than what the titles already say, except that Aliens has Ashley Tisdale. Those of you who have never seen High School Musical (thank your lucky stars) probably have no idea who that is, and that's okay. Although, I'd take a Kung Fu Grandma.

"Stitchpunk," JP? Really? ARe you coining that term?
That said, I can't wait for "9". I thought the trailers have looked fantastically creative. I think it'll be terrific. Although it's remarkably similar to LittleBigPLanet (which I was playing around the time the trailers appeared, so it threw me for a moment).
I also think that District 9 looks really interesting. And on the video game front again, you know what it really reminded me of? Half-Life 2. I know it won't be similar, but that's the viiibe, man.
As for Sherlock Holmes...ugh. I saw the trailer at the front of Harry Potter, and was made instantly grumpy. I really like Jude Law, I really like Robert Downey, Jr. But...this just doesn't look anything like Sherlock Holmes. It looks like a movie-mash-up of the films "From Hell" and "Van Helsing", neither of which were any good from where I'm standing.
I suppose I'll see it. I just wish they'd called it something else. Changed the name and made a fun sort of movie in-the-style-of Sherlock Holmes.

Too much excellence and schlock in one post... where to begin? All movies with "9" in the title will rock, while the others... less so. Sherlock Holmes will be fun as long as you could tolerate "A Knight's Tale", otherwise it will be hell. RoboGeisha should have been animated, but it'll be far funnier -- and far more disturbing -- in real life. I'll prolly have to watch... alone. "Fried Shrimp!"

I didn't coin the term "stitchpunk", that was in the press release email to me, I just ran with it.
The fried shrimp thing was just wrong. Funny, but wrong. Which could be said for that entire trailer. Then again, that's why I posted it!

I find it interesting that in District 9 they are using dollars when they actually use Rand.
I still can't wait to see it.

I've heard that District 9 was actually screened at Comic Con and the person who wrote about it said it was all kinds of awesome. I may have to create District 9 post just for the comic con stuff asI don't think this comment editor will allow me to embed stuff.
