- The Clockwork Century is a new website for the steampunk world set forth in Cherie Priest’s forthcoming novel Boneshaker. [via Adventures in Reading]
- Speaking of Steampunk, are you ready for a steampunk version of War of the Worlds? War of the Worlds: Goliath is a straight-to-DVD sequel of the H.G. Wells classic and billed as an “animated steampunk epic”. The release date is February 2010. [via Simple Tricks and Nonsense]
- Jason Denzel looks at selected maps in fantasy novels.
- Penthouse did a story on SciFi Conventions. No really! [via Gravity Lens]
- Captain Stargood is a new sci-fi spoof and an “homage to classic tv sci-fi of the 1950s and ’60s”. It’s a blend of puppetry, animation and old-school special effects. Here’s a taste:
