Description: On a mysterious planet, Col. O'Neill is seduced by a beautiful woman named Kynthia. The only problem is that he's now condemned to live a lifespan of only a hundred days. As he turns grey, will his team succeed in their frantic search for a cure?
All signs point to 'Yes!' So now the writers take us to a 'Greek'-like society who seem to live for only a very short time, growing, maturing and aging at a very rapid pace. Of course one of the SG-1 team just happens to become 'infected' with whatever 'infects' the people they find. And of course its O'Neill who just happens to become involved with on the young ladies (but not to worry, she'll be tossed aside after the episode and not seen from again so it's all good).
For a show that isn't Star Trek, SG-1 certainly has a lot of technobabble in it which leads directly to a resolution, and in this case, O'Neill fully recovers from his advanced age with no ill affects at all. I've been re-watching these as we go along, but this one I just don't find interesting enough to watch all the way through again, especially the 'acting' from the non-regulars. So far, the first season contains quite a few clunkers, with the very occasional decent episode, though I will say there are some much better ones coming up.
Best Line:
Jackson: "It's like we just stepped into the citadel at Mycenae."
O'Neill: "I thought you said it was Greek."
Jackson: "Oh um, Mycenae was an ancient city in the southern Peloponnesian region."
O'Neill: "Where's that?"
Jackson: "Greece."
O'Neill: "Why do I do that?"

I've done the full Stargate watchethon.
Like Bab5 the first season is barely watchable, but you are right in that it improves (and rapidly) in later seasons.

The relationship between Jack and Daniel is often the best thing in the show.
