- Dominic Monaghan (one of the ‘other’ Hobbits from Lord of the Rings and Charlie from LOST) has been confirmed to be returning to LOST starting with the second episode of the new season. This shouldn’t come as a surprise what with Hurley’s apparent ability to see ‘dead’ people. I can’t wait for the last season to start (and I’m a little sad too).
- With LOST‘s popularity very high, it should come as no surprise that the kooks are coming out. Writer Anthony Spinner is suing ABC, claiming he wrote the story concept first, in 1977. A real grievance or a money grab? I guess we’ll see.
- Comcast is going whole hog for VOD, recently adding content from CBS and 17 other cable channels.Comcast’s VOD offerings could use a serious increase in breadth and depth, sadly, this is only a 5000 subscriber trial and it’s not in Houston. Thanks for nothing Comcast!
- Torchwood: Children of Earth premieres on BBC America on July 20th. Here is a 7-minute clip from the show. Perhaps I should watch Torchwood now.

@Perhaps I should watch Torchwood now.
You very much should. Children of Earth is a damn good piece of sf, better than anything else from the Whoniverse I’ve seen (actually, better than any sci-fi I’ve seen on TV recently).
Actually, the Dominic Monaghan article referenced above says that he will be joining Flash Forward as a character named Theo, beginning with its second episode. Possible appearances in Lost season 6 remain rumours.
Neil,
Close enough for government work!
