Those faces really draw the eye, with just a hint of stylistic touches to make it more interesting than a simple photograph. Other than being mysterious and obscure, Mr. Lockwood's landscape is pretty inacessible. But don't make me read the Star Wars book!

I am a fan of the work of both artists, and Star Wars is certainly not dead to me, but I haven't ever really gotten into the novelizations of Star Wars post Timothy Zahn's first trilogy, so from a pure attraction standpoint I would pick the cover by Todd Lockwood.

By Palencar has textures to his work that are so unique and amazing, aren't they? His trees are some of the coolest ever (referring not to this cover, obviously.)

Star Wars - The artwork of the 2 figures is beautiful, The rest of the cover is horrible. Unfortunately, the cover as a whole says everything you need to know about the book.

Lockwood's cover wins by a mile! it's very intriguing and makes me want to go to the place in the cover. I's definitely pick it up from the bookshelf in a book store.

Star Wars is dead to me and its name on the cover kills anything else about it.
