Description: While conducting an archaeological dig on planet P3X-888, Dr. Daniel Jackson makes a remarkable discovery: a primordial Goa'uld symbiote, an ancient, predatory version of SG-1's parasitical enemies.
I thought a few earlier episodes of SG-1 were slow, but this one takes the cake. It starts out fairly interesting but rapidly turns into SG-1's version of Enemy Mine only with a severe lack of Louis Gossett, Jr.
And while the pieces are there for a good episode (ancient symbiotes, the Unas) it just doesn't fit together very well. I can't say I hated this one, I didn't, but I certainly wasn't riveted to the screen, hanging on every scene.
