Most years I've at least heard of most of the nominated novellas and other short fiction...but I don't recognize any of this year's short stories or novelettes. Which is weird, because I read Clarkesworld, Asimov's, and The Magazine of Fantasy & Sci-Fi--or, rather, I buy them (the latter two, at least)...hoping against hope that maybe one of the stories will be worth reading. I think I've finished maybe three stories in the last 10 issues of each.

This is the strongest Nebula list in a long time. Looks like the recent reforms in the voting process paid off.

I'm particularly torn in the movie category. Up? Coraline? Star Trek? Moon? I'd really hate to have to pick...
It's a great ballet. I love award season, because so many more short stories get put online and I get to read them.
