I wish authors would take some speech coaching before doing this kind of thing/reading extracts from their books at book signings e.t.c. I have been to a number of these events and have never been that impressed by the readings given.
This just sounds dull, and I very much doubt that I would find it so if I read it myself.
I’ve listened to almost all of Gaiman’s books on audio, read by Gaiman, and he is a wonderful narrator.
