If you’re an indie filmmaker, it’s hard to get noticed by Hollywood. That’s where the internet comes in. Taking a page from Kerry Conran’s (Sky Captain) book, indie filmer Gary Shore produced this 2 minute video for a film project entitled The Cup Of Tears. What’s it about you may ask?

I have no idea. What we do get is a highly stylized teaser with ninjas, spaceships, bullet time action, and loads of cool. Watching this reminded me of Sin City, 2012 and the old Apple ][ game Karateka. Despite the the clips almost plot-free presentation, Universal has purchased the rights to the story with Shore attached to direct. We all know how Hollywood loves style over substance, or even plot, so it shouldn't be surprising this trailer has generated interest.

Don't get me wrong, I really like the look of the video, I'm just wondering what it will turn into if, in fact, the project ever reaches fruition.
