Orbit Books has announced that the full text of Greg Bear’s latest novel, Hull Zero Three, will be available for free on the just-launched, in-store Starbucks Digital Network between November 23 and December 7.
Here’s the description:

Hmmm… I’ll be at Starbucks today. Maybe I’ll at least try the concept out. Are they going to let me download it, or is it a read in the store only sort of deal? I’ll report back.

The Kindle version is $10, so while the concept is nice the retail price isn’t much more than a couple cups of Starbucks coffee.
