It was a great interview, Fred. You were a terrific interviewer, you got him talking and let him talk.

One thing, though. Did he...uh...take a leak about halfway through?

Paul, that was in the list of things to talk about but I had been asked to keep it at around an hour and when we hit that point I still had a half-dozen or so things to ask. Hopefully when the second installment comes out (July 2011, IIRC), we can schedule a second interview and concentrate on that and the other items I cut.

As I said in a tweet, my only nit with the otherwise great interview is--I wanted to know about his most recent fantasy series (especially since it seems to be Rome-flavored)

Great interview. For me it was over too quickly. I am one of those unusual people from Massachusetts who was very upset at the time with the way Vietnam Vets were treated. I found it a weird world where draft dogers were praised and people who were drafted and served were maligned.
