SF Signal Podcast Nominated for The Parsec Award!

Cool news!

The SF Signal Podcast has been nominated for the The Parsec Award!

We’re thrilled to be listed among the other fine nominees in the “Best Fact Behind the Fiction Podcast” category, a list that includes Functional Nerds Patrick Hester and John Anealio. Thanks to whomever nominated us!

Ironically, it was Patrick and John who are are the ones responsible for us finally getting our podcast off the ground. It’s through their tireless efforts that the SF Signal podcast exists…which is why, if we win, I will let them come over to my house and look at the award. But only if they call first… :)

And special props go out to the SF Signal contributors who participate, without whom it would just be me talking, and nobody wants to listen to that! :)

  1. I don’t know how many nominations it takes to get on the ballot, but I do know personally at least one person who told me that they put a nomination in for SF Signal.

Anyway, I hope one of the two wins…since I am an associational member of both  the noble House SF Signal and the noble House Functional Nerds.

Please thank them on our behalf!  Oh to hell with it…thank them on our bewhole. (HEL-lo!)

Also: You mean the *nobler* House SF Signal , right? Right? ;)

  3. Meanwhile my serialized Chancellor Gorkon-wraped-in-clingfilm slashfic podcast continues to be overlooked…

  4. Yikes!  I just realized I neglected to give well-earned props to the SF Signal contributors who have stopped by the podcast. Post updated. Rest assured, I am beating myself about the head and shoulders with something heavy.

  5. @Tam: …and you admit that publicly? If I were you, I’d watch out for the people in the white coats and butterfly nets… :)
