Bryan Singer, he of X-Men and The Usual Suspects fame, has a new post-apocalyptic web series on the horizon. Here’s the description:
+: The Digital Series takes viewers on a journey into an apocalyptic future where technology has begun to spiral out of control…a future where 33% of the world’s population has retired its cell phones and laptops in favor of a stunning new device – an implanted computer system called H+.This tiny tool allows the user’s own mind and nervous system to be connected to the Internet 24 hours a day. But something else is coming… something dark and vicious… and within seconds, billions of people will be dead… opening the door to radical changes in the political and social landscape of the planet — prompting survivors to make sense of what went wrong.

Who’da thunk it? The usual Hollywood Science is evil! Technology will doom us all! twaddle mixed with Jericho.
I might look it when it turns out crazed Neo-Luddites are really behind the attack, but otherwise: pass.
In a time when every movie seems to be an adaptation, reboot or sequel is nice to see an original idea -and interesting, as this one appears to be.
Kind of colliding with the World Transhumanist Association’s “Humanity+,” or “H+,” rebranding there.
‘Technology is bad and is destroying our humanity and killing us.’
Is it even possible to make a piece of Science Fiction that doesn’t have this fundamental Luddite message?
Of course this not the important question.
The real question is can SF Signal turn of its block to Firefox’s built in spellchecker?
