&lt;p&gt;At a recent con I visited, Lavie&#039;s work was praised highly, especially Osama but a mention of his steampunk stuff, too. I chat with him on twitter, but haven&#039;t bought and read any of his longer than short story stuff...yet.&lt;/p&gt;
