I Wish The Godzilla Films of My Youth Looked This Awesome

Check out this cool footage of a Japanese family trying to avoid Godzilla. Great stuff…and a total cheat. It’s a small dream sequence that occurs at the beginning of Always Zoku Sanchome no Yuhi (Always: Sunset on Third Street 2). I’d love to see a feature-length film that featured these kind of effects. (Cloverfield kinda came close, but the shaky-cam and the hold-off of the big reveal fell short in that respect.)
