Hey Paul, now, you've got me intrigued. But I'll never guess--there are so many holiday specials. I look forward to your review.

And Fred, well--I admitted up front what I was (or rather am). (What is the appropriate tense for a past admission of a present fact?) And in fact, I am reading a lot these days (I didn't discuss what I'm reading in the column because a lot of it isn't SF) and I am writing another book. But I'm older and my eyesight isn't what it used to be, so after dark I have trouble with reading and writing. So I can only repeat, I wish you a decorously non-sectarian happy holiday. I applaud your ability to celebrate without commercials, television programming or even Black Friday. If more people did that there would be fewer grinches.

I say humbug on your attitude towards a time of year that I celebrate not with commercials, television programming or even Black Friday.

I could quote a holiday special six people besides me remembers in response, but I won’t.

As far as Mirror Maze, there will be a review at the Functional Nerds at some point, since I HAVE read it. I don’t want to spoil the review…
