Neat. Lemme guess the plot: The Scooby Doo gang has to find out who’s responsible for stealing all of Harlan Ellison’s ideas. Spoiler alert: It was everyone–and they would’ve gotten away with it if it wasn’t for those meddling kids.
Hiyo!
This series is actually pretty good. True, it is monster-of-the-week, but there’s an overarching story throughout the entire run (to date). For folks who grew up with the original shows, there’s lots to like. Casey Kasem voices Shaggy’s dad while Matthew Lilliard voices Shaggy himself. There are lots of meta-references, too. One of the funniest episode is a dream sequence with the casts from Captain Caveman, Jabberjaws, Speed Buggy, and the Freaky Phantom where all the sidekicks solve the mystery.
Harlan Ellison in a Scooby Doo cartoon. Now I’ve seen everything.
Quintessential Harlan. He is a gem. Few are worthy to carry his pencil case.
It’s actually HP Hatecraft, which is not as funny as having Jeffrey Combs voice him.
