Small correction, they did explain why J could still remember K (because he had gone back in time and was there during the event).

That said, you are spot on. This movie was tiring to watch without many funny bits. Will Smith is losing his touch…

the NASA nerd in me rolled its eyes at seeing the Command Module still attached to the Lunar Lander on the surface of the Moon – as well as later on being shown a big, bright full moon just before the Apollo 11 launch (liftoff was 2 days after new moon).

That’s the first time I’ve seen the latter word outside of an Ian MacDonald novel.

Pity it sounds too frentic and yet not energetic enough at the same time. A bad combination. And a perspective that Roger Ebert seems to have similar thoughts.
