Paul: Dunedin, where Juliet grew up, is the Celtic form of ‘Edinburgh’ and known as the ‘Edinburgh of the south’, complete to the statue of Robbie Burns presiding over the town square (the Octagon) so I suspect “Scotland” is a good guess in spirit.:)

Good interview and answers.

I really liked “Heart’s Blood”. It’s a good one to try if you are new to Juliet Marillier’s work because it is a stand-alone novel.

I’ve read Ms. Marillier’s YA novels, enjoyed them very much, and am looking forward to reading “Shadowfell”. I am an adult reader but they cross-over easily.

Yeah, I think Juliet is well known enough that I actually didn’t know she was from New Zealand. I’ve thought for years she was from England, maybe Scotland…
