SF Signal Meetup at Chicon7/Worldcon!
Have you ever wondered what makes the gears of SF Signal spin? (Whatever for?) Is SF Signal just the poorly-written online ravings of a group of socially inept and psychotic misfits? (Likely.) Do you want a peek behind the curtain? (Don’t do it!) Or would you like to buy us pie? (Actually, that would go over extremely well!)
If you answered “yes” to any of these question (especially the last one), you’re about to get your chance.
If you are going to Chicon7/Worldcon over Labor Day weekend, or are otherwise in the Chicago area…come meet us at the SF Signal 2012 Worldcon Meetup!
If you have some free time on the afternoon of Saturday, September 1st, come on over to the Corner Bakery and say hello to SF Signal’s editors, contributors and readers. See here for details.
Hope to see you there!
(But in case you can’t make it, you now know where to send the pie. Just sayin’…)

I’d like to make it, but I’m mostly tethered to my dealers table at the con.
I’m fairly certain I’ll be spending significant amounts of time in the dealers room. When you see some middle-aged nerd fawning over the books — that’ll be me.
“Or would you like to buy us pie?”
In order of preference:
Peanut butter pie (has to have a chocolate crust)
Banana cream pie
Coconut cream pie
Apple pie (must bring cheese to melt on top)
Sweet potato pie
Pecan pie
All other pies will be REJECTED! (unless they’re yummy).

Where did this pie thing come from? This blog was founded on the bagel! It has stood for the bagel! It will always stand for the bagel!
Must be do to that recent infusion of “management”. So sad to see fine traditions up and die.
*bounces from surface to surface in the office going ‘WOO HOO! WOO HOO! WOO HOO!*
Side note: John came up with pie all on his own. I just piled on…

Next thing you know it’ll be weekly postings about sweet tea and barbecue. The site is doomed, doomed, I tell you!
bah! to everything but bagels and free pie.
Bagels last forever….it’s the preservatives, you see…
