  1. Oddly enough, I first came across his books because he was creating his own (fantastic) covers for his books. I was creating a cover for my writing group’s anthology and a few searches on custom cover designs turned up his name. I haven’t checked in on him in a few years, but the covers displayed for this article still look like his work. He self-published his first stuff on Lulu.com, and while his writing is good, I wouldn’t be surprised if his super-slick covers didn’t play a big part in moving him out of the self-published pile.
