What a powerful podcast. Jay Lake is an incredibly brave and eloquent person. Jay, you are in a class of your own, and here’s to you beating that damn cancer into the ground.
A very powerful podcast. Arresting. Uncompromising.
I listened to this yesterday on my commute to work (yes, I’m a little behind on SF Signal’s podcast). I was incredibly moved by Jay’s courage and the way he’s standing up to his cancer.
The part that got to me the most (and crying while driving 70 in a 55 zone is not advisable) was when Jay said he would most likely not live to see his daughter graduate high school. Sharing that kind of insight really moved me.
Jay, keep your head up and stay strong. I’m rooting and praying for that miraculous recovery your oncologist talked about.
