I’d second the recommendation of Y: The Last Man and Ex Machina (BKV’s most recentish famous comics), both of which are very good, in very different ways. Personally, I think Saga is, so far, better than either of them, in part because I think Staples is the most interesting and effective artist he’s been paired with, but also because I think BKV’s writing here is fantastically assured – as if he doesn’t think he has anything to prove (which he doesn’t), and is just relaxing and having fun.
