I couldn’t bring myself to see the new Spiderman given the issues you spoke of. It is just far too soon for a reboot.

I enjoy The Dark Knight rises. It isn’t a movie I have rushed out to buy or rent, I haven’t had a hankering to see it again, but there was a lot to like. And I too wondered about Anne Hathaway but I was really pleased with her in the role and the way they wrote the role.

The Amazing Spider-Man felt way too much grimdark, and as Patrick Hester can attest, seems to be dragging in all-new baggage for the Spiderman franchise that I am not thrilled with (The Clone Saga).

As far as Dark Knight Rises…Bane didn’t work well, problems with pacing and plotting, and don’t get me started on that football game. A team from Rapid City playing Gotham? REALLY?
