The idea behind that rule was to prevent one person from winning something multiple times while other people haven't won anything at all. It's a "spread the love" thing. I don't know that people are hedging their chances, but I wouldn't recommend it as you can't be sure we'll ever offer something as good as what you may like right now. My advice: if you see something you like, give it a shot. If you win, great! Lucky you! Now give someone else a chance. If you don't win, well, there's always next time.

Nice contest, but I'm puzzled by #5 -- I understand completely that there should be no duplicate entries for this contest, but it seems you're saying that if someone has won something from you ever, they are permanently DQ'd from ever entering another contest you hold. Which means that people might choose not to enter a contest because there's a chance you'll have a prize they like much better some time in the future, and they don't want to be DQ'd from that by winning this. Does that make sense?
