I'm sure the book will be excellent as well, they consistently are. I am excited for the upcoming Spectrum Fantastic Art Live 2 weekend coming to my town, Kansas City, Missouri, in May. If you are a fan of SFF art you owe it to yourself to try to make it to this event. It is a surprisingly intimate affair that gives you access to some of the very best artists working in the field today. I think I talked to Michael Whelan 1:1 three or four times last year and it wasn't because I was being an obnoxious fanboy but just because I ended up at his booth that many times looking at original art and he was gracious and would strike up interesting conversations.

It was incredible to see original work from Michael Whelan, Dan Dos Santos, Gregory Manchess, Greg Spalenka, Boris and Julie, Donato and so many others. Wow.

Come! There are artist panels and live painting events and three days of hanging out with kind and generous artists.
