Where can you go for all those sexist SF covers I keep hearing is so pervasive. I’ve read 7 articles this year alone on it and just cannot find enough of them to get a SF Nerd Circle Jerk going.

As I said in my email to you this morning John, you are a bad man. And yet I look forward to these posts each month because of the eye candy. As always I will list the ones that look interesting to me if only to try to get the temptation out of my system.

First off, I’d love to get all 11 Dr. Who novels, but I don’t see that being a financial possibility at this point. I think it would be a great reading project to snag them all and read them in order.

The other books that interest me:

Cats of Tanglewood Forest (love deLint and Vess working together)
Best of Science Fiction and Fantasy (Strahan)
Solaris Rising 2 (Whates)
Best of Joe Haldeman (Strahan and Wolfe)
Queen Victoria’s Book of Spells (Datlow and Windling)

That Ambrose Bierce collection looks good.

If I could finally get around to reading the first books I am interested in Seanan McGuire’s newest as well as Adam Christopher’s.

And all of the Tor.com short stories are ones I will try to get to as they are released.

That’s a lot of covers. Some of them are very very nice. If I could only buy one and had to pick based solely on the cover I’d go with Sister Mine by Nalo Hopkinson. Actually, I just might pick it up later this year and use it for Worlds Without End’s Women of Genre Fiction reading challenge.
