SF Signal is happy to welcome Rob Bedford to the SF Signal team!
Because this is how we get our kicks, we asked Rob to describe himself in the third person. Here’s what he said:
Rob Bedford is the Lead Book reviewer for SFFWorld, where he is also a Moderator in their discussion forums. In addition to over a decade’s worth of reviews at SFFWorld, his reviews have also appeared in the San Francisco/Sacramento Book review and Tor.com. He is currently curating the Orphan Black Rewatch at Tor.com. His blog is robbedford.blogspot.com and he can be found on twitter @RobHBedford. When his head isn’t in a book or writing about books, Rob writes fiction, runs, bowls, enjoys watching hockey, and is a beer snob. Rob is a lifelong resident of New Jersey the great Garden State, where he lives with his accommodating* wife (whom he met in a Science Fiction Literature course at Rutgers University) and their dog. [*She puts up with various stacks of read and unread books, thousands of comic books, and hauls his ass to local beer festivals, so yeah, he’s a pretty lucky guy.]
Welcome to the team, Rob! We’re happy to bring you on board. New Jersey doesn’t have bagels *quite* as good as New York…but they’re way better than what we get here in Texas. I’m not saying I endorse bribery, but this is a piece of trivia you could use to your advantage. And by “your advantage” I mean “my advantage” when you send me bagels.
While Rob is rolling his eyes at a running gag that was past its prime years ago, check out the first installment of Rob’s new column The Completist, which that looks at complete book series. First up: David Louis Edelman’s Jump 225 Trilogy!
In the meantime, please join me in welcoming Rob to the SF Signal team!
