SF Signal Welcomes Rick Klaw and Mark London Williams!
We asked Rick and Mark to talk about themselves in the third person. Here’s what they said:
Rick Klaw – Professional reviewer, geek maven, and optimistic curmudgeon, Richard “Rick” Klaw was the co-editor of the groundbreaking original anthology of short fiction in graphic form, Weird Business, and co-founder of Mojo Press, one of the first publishers to produce both graphic novels and prose books. He also served as the initial fiction editor for RevolutionSF. Over the past decade, Klaw has written countless reviews, essays, and fiction for a variety of publications including The Austin Chronicle, Blastr, Moving Pictures Magazine, San Antonio Current, The Horn, Geek Dad, San Antonio Business Journal, The Greenwood Encyclopedia of Science Fiction and Fantasy, SF Site, Steampunk, Electric Velocipede, and The Steampunk Bible. Many of his essays and observations were collected in Geek Confidential: Echoes from the 21st Century. He can often be found pontificating on Twitter (@RickKlaw) and his award winning blog The Geek Curmudgeon. He lives in Austin, Texas with his wife, a large cat, an even bigger dog, and an impressive collection of books. Recent works include editing the anthologies The Apes of Wrath and Rayguns Over Texas.
Mark London Williams – Mark London Williams is a fiction writer, playwright, and journalist. He is the author of the LA Times Bestselling Danger Boy time travel series for young adults, whose finale Fortune’s Fool is forthcoming. He’s recently written horror and magic for young adults in the Magical Mayhem anthology, and for grown-ups in the eBook short Ghostdance: Showdown at Carthay Circle (originally edited by Rick Klaw). As a journalist, he’s written for Variety, the Los Angeles Times, and The Los Angeles Business Journal, and is currently a senior writer for Below the Line, covering Hollywood and its discontents. His plays have been produced in San Francisco, Los Angeles, and London, and he’s written comic books, short stories, and video game scripts. He teaches workshops on creative writing and storytelling at the Walt Disney Company and other places. You can find him on Twitter @MLondonWmz, or online at marklondonwilliams.com.
