VIDEO: How Tony DiTerlizzi Incorporated Ralph McQuarrie’s art into STAR WARS THE ADVENTURES OF LUKE SKYWALKER, JEDI KNIGHT

This October, Disney Lucasfilm Press is publishing Star Wars The Adventures of Luke Skywalker, Jedi Knight by Tony DiTerlizzi, a 64-page picture book based on the awesome concept art of Ralph McQuarrie. The book covers the original trilogy of three Star Wars films.

  1. I think I’d rather have a really nice “coffee table” book of McQuarrie’s art, not only for Star Wars but Close Encounters, Battlestar Galactica, Star Trek: The Motion Picture and quite a few covers for various Del Rey books!

  2. You’ll want to check out our Kickstarter campaign if you haven’t already, Fred, but keep in mind Tony’s book is going to expose a whole new generation of fans to Ralph’s work. There’s definitely no downside to that. And even though I’m not the target demographic, I’ve already got my copy pre-ordered.
