DC does YA for LL!
The main characters in all of Gwenda Bond‘s novels are teenage heroines. So when DC Comics prequeled Lois Lane, they tapped Bond. The Superhero community’s most famous investigative journalist exposes villains as a high school reporter with a bit of help from her online friend SmallvilleGuy.
The first Lois Lane comic, Fallout, came out last year. The first sequel, Double Down, will be out in May. The first of Bond’s Cirque American stories was Girl on a Wire. The first sequel, Girl in the Shadows, will be out this summer. The first of a Jet City Comics 4 book miniseries, Girl Over Paris, will also be out this summer. The Kindle edition of her The Woken Gods came out last month. Her debut novel was Blackwood, based on The Lost Colony. Her and her husband-collaborator Christopher Rowe will launch middle grade series Welcome to Hotel Monster next year.
Bond has a Master’s in Fine Arts in Writing from the Vermont College of Fine Arts’ program in writing for children and young adults. She lives in a one-hundred-year-old house in Lexington, Kentucky.
