I have fond memories of Quantum Leap, and just not because of the signature “Oh, boy” muttered by Sam as he realized the unusual predicament of his latest jump. Now, thanks the power of the Internets, YouTube you can experience all of Sam’s “Oh boys” in 10 minutes.

There’s a television show on IFC called Portlandia that pokes good-natured fun at the residents of Portland, Oregon. It’s a low-key sketch comedy show that is the brainchild of Fred Armisen, Carrie Brownstein and Jonathan Krisel. It’s more hit than miss. (“Put a bird on it!“)
Far be it from me to make fun of the man who took down Batman. Of course, that doesn’t mean that other people won’t take to YouTube to berate Gotham’s self-described liberator.
I know some audiences had some issues understanding Bane. Perhaps this video will clear things up. And help their diet!
I’ve seen sand artists before, but this is the first artist I’ve seen who uses table salt. Besides Darth Vader, he’s also “salted” Harry Potter. This guy should go on tour with the bacon AT-AT.
Back in 1966, Gilligan’s Island creator Sherwood Schwartz had a short-lived sitcom called “It’s About Time”, a show about two astronauts who time travel back to prehistoric times. Comedy (and I use that term very loosely) ensued. It ran for only a single season.

I only have the vaguest of memories of the campy Flash Gordon film from 1980, but I do recall not liking it very much. I think the intentional camp was lost on me at the time. Perhaps I should give it another go? I mean, Max von Sydow as Ming the Merciless? How bad could it be?
